This was somehow a fun and challenging project to design and build.
Ownership didn't wanted to close the business not even for one day but they needed to give to the establishment a fresh new look.
The approach was to deconstruct on the paper all the elements that could be changed without destroying them nor replacing them.
The final result was achieved introducing new materials, resurfacing and refinishing the walls.
Creating new elements, adding new lights, designing new layers of components, new structures able to "dressed up" the existing, and in so doing giving them a new look and a new life.
The custom designed modular wood ceiling were applied on the exiting space available, without the needs to modify original AC ducts, AC diffuses nor sprinkler system.
Tables, benches, the over the counter Iron bottles and gasses holder trellis, the side wall shelves, the niches illuminating elements, pretty much everything was designed and custom made from scratch.
All Mill-work designed by us was done and installed by Prado Design.
Least but not last, It doesn't hurt that at Giotto, they make one of the best Italian's pizza in town.
